Lawmaker Issues Warning: In 5 Years We Won’t Have Ability to Penetrate ISIS Communications (VIDEO)

In November ISIS was able to plan and execute a massive attack in Paris undetected. The terror group reportedly used encrypted communications in PlayStation to avoid detection by authorities.

132 people were slaughtered in the jihadist attack.

On Sunday Rep. Chris Stewart (R-UT) a member of the House Intelligence Committee, warned that in five years terrorists will move toward encryption programs that authorities will not have the ability to penetrate.

“ISIS has said very clearly that they intend to use the refugee program to infiltrate the West and infiltrate the United States. They did that in Paris… It was a reasonable step to say let’s pause this program until we know a little bit more about who these individuals are. I think, one other thing that I’d like to talk about and that’s the encryption and the real challenge that that has. Director Comey will tell you that in the next four to five years we may be completely dark as these organizations and these terror groups move toward encryption programs that we simply don’t have the ability to penetrate.
