Missouri Gubernatorial candidate Eric Greitens is under fire yet again for campaign finance issues.
As previously reported by Progressives Today the Greitens campaign has been receiving large donations from prominent leftists and has refused to return a massive donation from billionaire hedge fund manager Steve Cohen who was recently banned by the SEC.
Now This:
Documents filed late last week with the Missouri Ethics Commission claim Eric Greitens’ campaign is paying two staff members illegally.
The documents obtained EXCLUSIVELY by Progressives Today allege that the Greitens campaign has failed to report that staff members Barth Fraker and Robbie Brouk are being paid through The Greitens Group LLC for work being done on behalf The Greitens For Governor campaign.
The complaint reads:
GREITENS FOR GOVERNOR IS EMPLOYING AND PAYING TWO PEOPLE, BARTH FRAKER AND ROBBIE BROUK,
AND PAYING THEM THROUGH AN LLC, THE GREITENS GROUP. THIS IS IN VIOLATION OF RSMO SECTION 130,
SUBSECTIONS .011 (12) (B), WHICH STATES THAT IF A PERSON IS WORKING FOR A PRIVATE COMPANY,
BUT IS OFFERING THEIR WORK AND SERVICES FOR A CAMPAIGN, THAT CAMPAIGN HAS TO DISCLOSE HOW MUCH
THEY ARE PAYING HIM AND REPORT THAT AMOUNT AS AN IN-KIND CONTRIBUTION. THEY HAVE BEEN WORKING FOR GREITENS FOR MISSOURI SINCE AT LEAST JUNE 2015.
A troubling pattern seems to be forming around the Greitens campaign whose main platform is cleaning up Jefferson City through ethics reform.
We await the Missouri Ethics Commission’s investigation and the results.
