Pat Buchanan, author of The Greatest Comeback, went on Hannity last night to discuss the report that Republican operatives are working behind the scene to steal the nomination from Donald J. Trump.
Buchanan says if GOP elites steal the nomination from Donald Trump his voters will likely stay home come November.
“I think if Cruz beats Trump, all these people coming out, where do they all come from? Frankly, some of them came out to vote against Trump but most of them came out to vote for Trump because he’s a populist conservative. He’s going to secure the border. Make America great. All of these things. A positive optimistic outlook. I think if Cruz takes this away from Trump I think an awful lot of those folks just go home.
But do the GOP elites really care if Trump voters stay home?
FOX News Insider reported:
On “Hannity” tonight, Pat Buchanan reacted to a report that Republican operatives are battling behind the scenes to try to convince bound delegates to change their vote from Trump if there’s a contested convention.
Buchanan said the effort reflects the “desperation” and “stark terror” of the establishment at Trump.
He said that the establishment is being “repudiated,” and spoke about the potential for the GOP frontrunner to forge a new Republican Party.
A new Wall Street Journal report finds that Ted Cruz and GOP elites are working behind the scene to steal the election from Trump.
