Stw News Press reported:
A woman making threatening comments in the Westwood Elementary main office shortly before classes were set to begin was taken into custody by the Stillwater Police Department.
No children were injured and school was canceled for the day.
South Kings Street – where the main entrance to the school is located – was blocked off by police vehicles between West Fourth Ave. and State Highway 51 and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol bomb squad was called in but nothing suspicious was found.
Police said the woman told school employees she was there “to take the to kids to heaven,” and kept repeating that phrase.
Principal Darren Nelson said the woman does not have a student at the school.
The school was placed on lockdown with some students already in the school while others were still being dropped off.
Nelson said administrators spoke with the woman and by the time he arrived at the scene the woman was outside.
