50 people were slaughtered by Islamist Omar Mateen at the gay nightclub early Sunday morning.
ISLAMIST Omar Mateen was identified as #Pulse Nightclub killer. Omar has Afghan parents and is registered as a Democrat.
Orlando officials invited Imam Muhammad Musri, the president and senior imam of the Islamic Society of Central Florida, to speak to reporters. This was the first press conference held by Orlando officials after the massacre. No Christian or Jewish leaders were invited to speak to reporters.
Imam Musri blamed the Islamist attack on lax gun laws.
