“She’s With Me”: Hillary Clinton Meets Paul McCartney Backstage Before Cleveland Show

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton met with Beatles icon Paul McCartney backstage in Cleveland Wednesday before McCartney’s concert at the Quicken Loans Arena–the site of the Republican convention that nominated Clinton’s rival Donald Trump for president last month.

McCartney posted a photo of the meeting with the caption, “She’s with me”, a play on Clinton’s campaign slogan, “I’m with her.”

The Clinton campaign issued a statement on the meeting to the press but has not retweeted McCartney’s post of the photo with her nor is there a mention of the meeting on Clinton’s Facebook page.

“Clinton chatted with Paul McCartney about the presidential race and the Olympics, according to an aide:”

Clinton aides reportedly declined to say whether McCartney endorsed Clinton.

“FWIW: McCartney is not a U.S. citizen, so he can’t vote for Clinton. But did he endorse? Aides won’t say.”
