Glenn Beck wrote today on Facebook it was Friday it was a “profoundly sad day for me” after Ted Cruz endorsed Donald Trump for President.

Beck has repeatedly compared Donald Trump to Hitler and his supporters to Nazis over the past year.

His media empire has crumbled as Beck continued his attacks on Donald Trump.

Beck wrote on Facebook he was “profoundly sad” and was contemplating a “move to the mountains” after Ted Cruz endorsed Donald Trump on Friday.
The Hill reported:

Glenn Beck on Friday voiced sorrow over Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) endorsing Donald Trump for the presidency.

“[This is] a profoundly sad day for me,” he wrote on Facebook. “Disappointment does not begin to describe.

“Maybe it is time to go to the mountains for a while,” the conservative commentator added. “Again, disappointment doesn’t even begin to describe my feelings.”
Beck, who supported Cruz over Trump in the GOP’s presidential primary, added he feared for the nation’s future.

“America is an idea, not a country,” he said. “When we discuss the destruction of our country, that is vastly different than the destruction of an idea. I fear the idea is already lost, due to the panic of losing one’s comfort and country.

“The founders meant it much differently when they said: join or die. Welcome to the big tent. GOP / DNC 2016 join or die. Long live the idea of the republic.”

Cruz earlier Friday endorsed Trump, a stunning reversal after months spent refusing to back the Republican presidential nominee.
