Lena Dunham once again decided to use poor judgement in deciding to pose topless for the world to see as she attempted to be a mermaid.
“And then she got her holiday wish aka her lifelong wish… we wish you a mermaid Christmas,” Dunham captioned the snap.

This is hardly the first time the actress has posed naked in photographs on social media; in October 2015, Dunham went topless when she spontaneously decided to auction off the sweater she had been wearing to a benefit for Planned Parenthood. The sweater brought in $4,000 for the group, and Dunham later posted a shot to Instagram.
In May, the actress posed naked in a bathtub with her then-pregnant co-star Jemima Kirke to share a pro-choice message.
Dunham has had a turbulent week; she drew widespread condemnation on social media last week when, during an episode of her podcast, she said she had never had an abortion, but that she wished she had in order to better understand the stigma surrounding the issue.
She later apologized, calling the comment “distasteful.”

She later deleted the Picture and complained, “When you delete your own peeing Insta cuz you chronically forget what kind of world we live in but you still gotta shout out your visual influence,”

“Dunham has come under intense fire for her sexual past which is filled with false rape allegations and accusations of sexually molesting her sister.
In her memoir, Not That Kind of Girl, Dunham accused a Republican of raping her in college. That story was later proven to be false in an Investigation conducted by Breitbart.
Dunham is also accused of sexually molesting her sister after passages she wrote in the same book Not That Kind of Girl. The passages cited include one that describes an incident when Dunham was seven and her sister was one. Dunham writes that “curiosity got the best” of her and she opened her sister’s vagina. In another passage she describes trying to persuade her sister to “kiss her on the lips for five seconds” by offering gifts of sweets or coins. “Basically, anything a sexual predator might do to woo a small suburban girl, I was trying,” wrote Dunham.
Dunham recently went on a sexist rant against Giants Football player Odell Beckham Jr. for allegedly rejecting her, an event that only happened in her imagination.
Dunham: “You and I were literally sitting across from each other at the Met Ball, and it was so surreal to get to do that. I was sitting next to Odell Beckham Jr., and it was so amazing because it was like he looked at me and he determined I was not the shape of a woman by his standards. He was like, ‘That’s a marshmallow. That’s a child. That’s a dog.’ It wasn’t mean — he just seemed confused. The vibe was very much like, ‘Do I want to f— it? Is it wearing a … yep, it’s wearing a tuxedo. I’m going to go back to my cell phone.’ It was like we were forced to be together, and he literally was scrolling Instagram rather than have to look at a woman in a bow tie. I was like, ‘This should be called the Metropolitan Museum of Getting Rejected by Athletes.’”
