Huge 6.8 Mag Quake Off California Coast

A 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck 100 miles off the coast of California Thursday morning.

It was a 6.5 magnitude earthquake at a 12 km depth.

A tsunami warning was not expected.
NBC LA reported:

The quake was about 100 miles off the coast of Eureka, California. Shaking was reported along the Northern California coast, including in the communities of Ferndale and Eureka.

A tsunami warning was not expected, according to the Tsunami Warning Center.
