(Update on suspension at end of article.) A spokeswoman for the Dallas Independent School District told The Gateway Pundit Thursday morning the district is “investigating” the video that shows a teacher acting out an assassination of President Trump in a classroom.

The spokeswoman, who identified herself as “Anna S.”, would not comment on whether the teacher has been removed from the classroom. “Anna S.” said the district would inform parents and the public at a later time about the investigation.
“Anna S.” said many phone calls had been received about the video. When informed that W. H. Adamson School, where Payal Modi, the teacher allegedly seen in the video, is listed as working at had apparently shut down their main phone number, “Anna S.” reiterated that many phone calls were being received about the video.
The Gateway Pundit reported Wednesday night the Secret Service is “aware” of the video.
The video shows a woman in a classroom screaming, “Die!” as she fires a water pistol about a dozen times from point blank range at a large video image of President Donald Trump at his inauguration that was projected on a white board at the head of a classroom. It is not clear from the video whether any students were in the classroom at the time.
The video was posted on January 20 to the Instagram account of Payal Modi, who identified herself across social media accounts as an art teacher at a Dallas high school. The video was posted with the message, “”payalemmWatching the #inauguration in my classroom like….#no #stop #denial #squirtgun #hypocrisy #powerless #saveusall #teachthembetter #atleastitsfriday”
Modi’s Instagram account was made private after the video went private Wednesday night.

Modi’s dormant Twitter page is still public. The bio for the Twitter account reads, “Payal Modi @PiculiarByPayal High School Art Educator, Designer, and Foster Mommy; Dallas, TX instagram.com/piculiarbypayal Joined July 2016”

In the eight second video clip, the teacher is seen approaching the whiteboard at the head of the class holding a water pistol in her right hand and aiming it close range at a TV image of Trump projected in the board. She squeezes the trigger about a dozen times, screaming one time at the start of the imagined assassination, “Die!”
UPDATE: The Dallas Morning news reported Thursday afternoon Payal Modi has been suspended.
…Dallas ISD spokeswoman Robyn Harris confirmed that Modi was placed on leave, but added that DISD would not comment as it investigates the incident.
DISD’s statement:“Today, we were made aware of a social media posting being circulated involving a teacher at W. H. Adamson High School. The teacher has been placed on administrative leave and the district has opened an investigation. This is a personnel matter and, as such, we can not comment.”
