Trump Threatens to Send Feds to Protect Chicago Citizens From ‘Carnage’ of Out of Control Murderous Thugs

President Donald Trump posted a statement to Twitter Tuesday night threatening to send in the “feds” if the city does not stop the “carnage” of gun violence and murders that is already worse than last year.

“If Chicago doesn’t fix the horrible “carnage” going on, 228 shootings in 2017 with 42 killings (up 24% from 2016), I will send in the Feds!”

“DAY FOUR AND THE @POTUS IS LITERALLY ADVOCATING FOR MARTIAL LAW, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?”

UPDATE: The Huffington Post’s Michael Calderone posted about what seems to have inspired President Trump’s statement: Bill O’Reilly beseeching the president to act.

“Fox’s O’Reilly just over an hour ago: “Gang violence in Chicago getting worse. Will President Trump step in and override local authorities?”

“Here was the graphic on The O’Reilly Factor just over an hour before Trump started tweeting Chicago crime statistics”
