Houston Polices Officers Shot, Taken To Hospital

A manhunt is under way in Houston, TX after two police officers were shot on Tuesday after responding to a call about a burglary in the area. The two injured police officers were taken to the hospital.

Sources within the Houston Police Department have said that one of the suspects has been killed according to a report from ABC13.

From The Houston Chronicle:

One suspect remained at large at 1:30 p.m., Chief Art Acevedo tweeted: “One suspect is outstanding please shelter in place if you’re residing in the area & avoid the area if you don’t.” A shelter-in-place warning was issued for the area

…One officer is being treated at Ben Taub Hospital and the other at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Medical Center, a police spokeswoman said. Those are Houston’s only Level I trauma centers, which handle the most severe injuries.
