After James Comey was fired earlier last week you knew one thing – Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) or Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) would go on TV this weekend to bash the president and stir the Russian conspiracy theories.
Or both.
Senator Graham did not disappoint.
On Sunday Lindsey Graham lectured the president on “being cute” about potential White House tapes.
The Daily Caller reported:
Sen. Lindsey Graham is calling on James Comey to testify in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee about his dinner with Donald Trump.
Graham said on NBC’s “Meet The Press” Sunday that the testimony will be necessary to “clear the air” in light of Trump’s tweets that he may have secretly recorded the conversation. The dinner between Trump and Comey took place at the end of January, just a week after Trump was sworn in as president.
However, he also blasted Trump for the tweet and said he should refrain from commenting on the Russia investigation any further.
“You can’t be cute about tapes,” Graham opined.
