Memphis Musician Sets Himself on Fire in Facebook Live Suicide (VIDEO)

A Tennessee man named Jared McLemore, 33, died from severe burns after dousing himself with kerosene and then live-streaming his suicide on Facebook.

McLemore, a musician from Memphis, allegedly said “goodbye” to his girlfriend before dumping kerosene all over himself and then lighting himself on fire. Jared’s girlfriend, Alyssa Moore, was just feet away as the events unfolded.

McLemore doused himself with kerosene.

Jared apparently ran into Murphy’s Bar in Memphis while still on fire. He was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries.

The Sun UK reports:

Jim Duckworth, a musician who had just played at the bar, told WREG-TV: “This overwhelming smell of kerosene filled the room.

“Before you see anything, the smell filled the room.”

Jim’s girlfriend Kimberly Koehler said: “There were some people who thought that it was a joke.

“Jared approached Alyssa and mumbled something about ‘goodbye,’ then grabbed her arm and wiped it on his chest to show he was covered in kerosene.”

The musician allegedly has a history of domestic abuse and had attempted to kill his girlfriend in the past. He was also ordered to undergo mental health evaluations following a number of domestic charges.

The musician also allegedly posted on Facebook on May 10, 2017, a single sentence: “Erased and forgotten”.
