Bob Weinstein Goes NUCLEAR on Brother Harvey Over Sex Allegations

Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie and others have come forward to the New York Times with their Harvey Weinstein horror stories.
Paltrow says, “This way of treating women ends now.”

As previously reported, embattled Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein is the subject of a devastating expose detailing decades of sexual harassment.

Hollywood literally worshipped Weinstein. Gross.

Fashion designer, Donna Karan DEFENDED Weinstein in an interview on Sunday. She also took women back several decades by suggesting the accusers were ‘asking for it’ by wearing seductive clothing.

Others in Hollywood however, are starting to come forward with their horror stories.

Last Thursday, The New York Times blew the roof off of the decades long ‘open secret’ in Hollywood that Harvey Weinstein was essentially a sexual predator who preyed on young starlets. Weinstein reportedly paid off several sexual harassment accusers over the years.

An investigation by The New York Times found previously undisclosed allegations against Mr. Weinstein stretching over nearly three decades, documented through interviews with current and former employees and film industry workers, as well as legal records, emails and internal documents from the businesses he has run, Miramax and the Weinstein Company.

During that time, after being confronted with allegations including sexual harassment and unwanted physical contact, Mr. Weinstein has reached at least eight settlements with women, according to two company officials speaking on the condition of anonymity.

Gwyneth Paltrow recalls being terrified by Weinstein’s sexual abuse and says she was expected to keep the secret.

Via The New York Times:

When Gwyneth Paltrow was 22 years old, she got a role that would take her from actress to star: The film producer Harvey Weinstein hired her for the lead in the Jane Austen adaptation “Emma.” Before shooting began, he summoned her to his suite at the Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel for a work meeting that began uneventfully.

It ended with Mr. Weinstein placing his hands on her and suggesting they head to the bedroom for massages, she said.

“I was a kid, I was signed up, I was petrified,” she said in an interview, publicly disclosing that she was sexually harassed by the man who ignited her career and later helped her win an Academy Award.

She refused his advances, she said, and confided in Brad Pitt, her boyfriend at the time. Mr. Pitt confronted Mr. Weinstein, and soon after, the producer threatened her not to tell anyone else about his come-on. “I thought he was going to fire me,” she said.

Even as Ms. Paltrow became known as the “first lady of Miramax” and won an Oscar for “Shakespeare in Love” in 1999, very few people knew about Mr. Weinstein’s advances. “I was expected to keep the secret,” she said.

Rosanna Arquette and Angelina Jolie and others also had similar experiences as reported by the New York Times:

Rosanna Arquette, a star of “Pulp Fiction,” has a similar account of Mr. Weinstein’s behavior, as does Judith Godrèche, a leading French actress. So does Angelina Jolie, who said that during the release of “Playing by Heart” in the late 1990s, he made unwanted advances on her in a hotel room, which she rejected.

“I had a bad experience with Harvey Weinstein in my youth, and as a result, chose never to work with him again and warn others when they did,” Ms. Jolie said in an email. “This behavior towards women in any field, any country is unacceptable.”

Now this..

Bob Weinstein, Harvey’s brother issued a scathing statement, calling his ex-business partner “a very sick man.” Bob urged his brother to receive help and to cease issuing fake apologies.

TMZ reports:

As for proof the file was sent, we’re told Harvey Weinstein’s people have a FedEx receipt which shows his brother got the material.

Bob Weinstein came out swinging, telling TMZ, “My brother Harvey is obviously a very sick man. I’ve urged him to seek immediate professional help because he is in dire need of it. His remorse and apologies to the victims of his abuse are hollow. He said he would go away for help and has yet to do so.”

Bob goes on … “He has proven himself to be a world class liar and now rather than seeking help he is looking to blame others. His assertion is categorically untrue from A to Z. I pray he gets the help that he needs and I believe that it is him behind all of these stories to distract from his own failure to get help.”

It has been reported that Harvey believes his brother Bob “did him in,” by bringing these horrid allegations to light.
