The White House is on lockdown after a suspect attempted to jump over the south fence. A suspicious package was discovered by Secret Service agents. The incident is developing.

The US Secret Service said it has a suspect in custody but is still investigating the package.
The south fence line to the building has been shut down after the person tried to leap the barrier around 9.30am local time.
