BREAKING: ‘Multiple Casualties’ Reported After Gunman Opens Fire in First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, TX

Reports of a shooting at Texas baptist church in Sutherland Springs just broke. Up to 24 people are dead. Police have neutralized the gunman.

“Wilson County sheriff says there is a “situation” and first responders are on scene amid reports of shooting,” reported CBS News.

“Texas county commissioner tells @NBCNews “there are a lot of fatalities” at church shooting, estimating 24 dead. “The shooter is deceased,” reports Peter Baker.

Police were responding to a shooting inside of a church in Sutherland Springs Sunday afternoon.

According to local media, there is a mass casualty situation at the Sutherland Springs Baptist Church—in the 200 block of 4th Street.

Multiple agencies were responding and medical helicopters were dispatched.
