As previously reported, both CNN and CBS fell for inaccurate reports alleging a WikiLeaks email was sent to Donald Trump Jr. with an encryption key to access future leaks.

WikiLeaks had actually tweeted a link to the information days before the email reached Trump Jr. inbox. The fake news media claimed this was stone cold proof of collusion, as WikiLeaks has long been smeared as a Kremlin puppet. Disaster!
The conservative media unleashed hell-fire and brimstone on fake news CNN and CBS for yet another bogus ‘Russian collusion’ smoking gun story.
“So CNN misreported the date of the Wikileaks email that @DonaldJTrumpJr received, meaning that the entire point of the story — that the campaign might have gotten advance warning of the leaks — is wrong. Wow,” tweeted Washington Examiner reporter Sarah Westwood.
OAN’s Liz Wheeler hammered CNN and tweeted, “Holy crap. That’s a huge error. Like Brian Ross level huge.”
The Daily Caller humiliated CNN with a viral smackdown that hit the Drudge Report.
Wikileaks founder, Julian Assange also blasted fake news CNN and CBS, calling it another ‘Brian Ross’ moment. OUCH!
Then Donald Trump Jr. moved in with the kill shot.

This is how the fake news cycle works today. CNN, CBS, MSNBC, Bloomberg, WaPo, New York Times et al publish a bogus stories which makes its way around the globe several times until they publish a retraction several hours or even a day later that very few people see.
CNN ended up issuing only a correction when they should have issued a complete retraction.
