The mainstream media (MSM) is gleefully reporting today that Former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn lied to the [corrupt] FBI in relation to the Mueller investigation – but this is old news.
We knew this in February. And we knew this eight months ago because the FBI leaked information of his private calls with foreign officials to the liberal media.
The liberal New York Times reported this on February 13th:
Michael T. Flynn, the national security adviser, resigned on Monday night after it was revealed that he had misled Vice President Mike Pence and other top White House officials about his conversations with the Russian ambassador to the United States.
Mr. Flynn, who served in the job for less than a month, said he had given “incomplete information” regarding a telephone call he had with the ambassador in late December about American sanctions against Russia, weeks before President Trump’s inauguration. Mr. Flynn previously had denied that he had any substantive conversations with Ambassador Sergey I. Kislyak, and Mr. Pence repeated that claim in television interviews as recently as this month.
But on Monday, a former administration official said the Justice Department warned the White House last month that Mr. Flynn had not been fully forthright about his conversations with the ambassador. As a result, the Justice Department feared that Mr. Flynn could be vulnerable to blackmail by Moscow.
In his resignation letter, which the White House emailed to reporters, Mr. Flynn said he had held numerous calls with foreign officials during the transition. “Unfortunately, because of the fast pace of events, I inadvertently briefed the vice president-elect and others with incomplete information regarding my phone calls with the Russian ambassador,” he wrote. “I have sincerely apologized to the president and the vice president, and they have accepted my apology.”
“I am tendering my resignation, honored to have served our nation and the American people in such a distinguished way,” Mr. Flynn wrote.
Today the MSM made big news of the Flynn guilty plea to one count in the corrupt Mueller investigation:
President Trump’s former national security adviser, Michael T. Flynn, pleaded guilty on Friday to lying to the F.B.I. about conversations with the Russian ambassador last December, becoming the first senior White House official to pledge cooperation in the special counsel’s wide-ranging inquiry of election meddling.
Mr. Flynn’s pre-inauguration discussions with Sergey I. Kislyak, the Russian ambassador, were part of a coordinated effort by aides running Mr. Trump’s transition into the White House to create foreign policy before they were in power, documents released as part of Mr. Flynn’s plea agreement show. Their efforts undermined the existing policy of President Barack Obama and flouted a warning from a senior Obama administration official to stop meddling in foreign affairs until after the inauguration.
The White House responded –
The White House on Friday said former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s guilty plea doesn’t implicate “anyone other than Mr. Flynn.”
Calling Flynn a “former Obama administration official,” White House lawyer Ty Cobb sought to separate the administration from the bombshell Flynn news.
“Today, Michael Flynn, a former national security adviser at the White House for 25 days during the Trump Administration, and a former Obama administration official, entered a guilty plea to a single count of making a false statement to the FBI,” Cobb said in a statement.
“The false statements involved mirror the false statements to White House officials which resulted in his resignation in February of this year. Nothing about the guilty plea or the charge implicates anyone other than Mr. Flynn. The conclusion of this phase of the special counsel’s work demonstrates again that the special counsel is moving with all deliberate speed and clears the way for a prompt and reasonable conclusion.”
The entire news cycle today was focused on this repeat story that Flynn misled others on a discussion he had with a Russian diplomat before the inauguration. What he did was legal and there are no charges related to his discussion with the Russian diplomat. Forgetting or not reporting on this discussion when asked by the corrupt FBI involved in the corrupt Mueller investigation is his crime. Flynn’s resignation in February was related to the same event.
We reported in August this year that Mueller is a dirty rotten cop. He was strategically placed in the position of Special Counsel to investigate the Trump-Russia fake news story by his former partner in crime Assistant Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. He brought in a team of individuals that are all partisan hacks that worked for the corrupt Clintons and Obama administration.
