A far-left NBC News crew filming a sympathetic piece on Palestinian claims of “settler violence” reportedly came under attack Saturday in Jalud, south of Nablus in Samaria.

Masked men jumped from a vehicle, beat members of the team with sticks, threw rocks, and damaged equipment before fleeing.

NBC international correspondent Matt Bradley, producer Lawahez Jabari, cameraman Khaldoon Eid, and a driver were interviewing 51-year-old Aida Ahmed Abdullah and her family.

Abdullah claimed settlers had driven her family from their home. The team was walking toward the house when a gray car reversed up the hill. A masked man in a blue tracksuit leaned out holding a stick, according to NBC News.

At least four men in dark clothing with covered faces leaped out, striking the woman and the crew. Bradley was hit twice in the arm. Equipment and a vehicle were damaged. All were treated for injuries; Abdullah was hospitalized but her injuries were not life-threatening.

Jabari said she saw a gun that was not used. Eid expressed surprise that the attack happened “in the middle of a Palestinian area next to Palestinian houses.”

condemned the “criminal acts of violence committed in the villages of Kosra and Jalud by a handful of rioters who violate the law.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:

“I strongly condemn the criminal acts of violence committed in the villages of Qusra and Jalud by a handful of rioters who are violating the law, causing a grave injustice to the law-abiding Jewish community, interfering with the IDF in carrying out its missions, and harming ’s standing in the world.

“The security forces acted swiftly, confiscated three vehicles, and brought the incident to an end within a short time.

“The IDF, the ISA, and the police are conducting a vigorous investigation on the ground, and I expect law enforcement authorities to arrest the rioters and bring them to justice as soon as possible.”

Israeli security forces said they received reports of rioters, clashes including stone-hurling, and rioters barricaded in a Palestinian home. Forces removed them, separated groups, protected residents, and confiscated rioters’ vehicles. IDF and Border Police continue operations in Qusra and Jalud.
