White House Nukes Governor “Tampon Tim” Walz Highlighting Minnesota Practice of Allowing Unregistered Voters to Vote if Someone Vouches for Them

The communications team lit up Minnesota Governor Tim Walz on Friday over Minnesota’s election “vouching” system, which allows same-day voter registration without proof of residency or citizenship.

The rule allows unregistered voters to arrive at the polling location on election day, register, and cast a ballot without any proof of citizenship or residency, so long as someone “vouches” for them. One individual may vouch for up to eight registrants who do not have the required documentation.

The Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division fired off a letter to the Minnesota Secretary of State earlier this year, seeking records to ensure compliance with federal election laws. The DOJ requested records for all federal elections held in the 22 months prior, including the 2024 general and primary elections. “The Department of Justice is particularly concerned with votes and registrations accepted on the basis of ‘vouching’ from other registered voters or residential facility employees,” the DOJ wrote.

Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon previously defended the voucher program, claiming, “I cannot recall a single instance of a false vouching because people know they’re making an oath under penalty of perjury.”

More from KTTC:

Tim Walz on Friday posted a video on , urging people to vote in the August 11 primary election after he finished filling out his mail-in ballot and urging people to vote by mail. “Minnesota has the safest, freest, and fairest elections in the nation,” he laughably claimed in the post, sparking a response from the White House.

WATCH:

The White House responded, slamming Walz over the shady voting rules in Minnesota while emphasizing the need for the SAVE America Act, which would require all voters to provide documentary proof of citizenship and enforce voter ID.

In Tampon Tim’s Minnesota, a registered voter can literally go to the polling place and “vouch” for up to EIGHT unregistered people — who can then vote without providing any proof of residency, no questions asked.

PASS THE !

In a follow-up post, the White House shared a screenshot directly from a Hennepin County election procedures guide on “Vouching.”

If you don’t have proper documentation of your current residence, you can have someone vouch for you on Election Day,” the page reads. “The person vouching for you must be a registered voter in your precinct and is required to sign an oath confirming your address.”

It further outlines how, in nursing homes, which are notoriously used to farm votes from senile or incapacitated residents, “There is no limit to how many people a staff member can vouch for.”

“Nothing to see here, folks!” the White House communications team wrote.
