This is the state of the political war in the UK.
Conservative icon and Brexit hero Nigel Farage is under constant attack from the British establishment for leading his Reform UK party to the top of opinion polls and being seen as the clear favorite to become the next UK Prime Minister.
But this is not the only threat he is facing.
After the brutal politically motivated murder of conservative Ann Widdecombe, his family is pressuring him to ‘quit frontline politics’ over fears for his personal safety.
He says relatives urging him to walk away is a first in his career.

The Telegraph reported:
“Following the killing of Ann Widdecombe, a Reform spokesman, in July, Mr. Farage said that life had never been more dangerous for politicians.
Although his party now offers round-the-clock security to all its prominent politicians, he said his family would rather that he ‘packed it up and walked away’.
Mr. Farage added that it was particularly difficult when his family ‘get in the middle of it all’.”

He has said that his family had been ‘dragged into his political life’, and accused Sky News of harassing his daughter.
Today, Farage talked about his family’s reaction.
“It’s 34 years since I first stood in a by-election and got involved in politics, and all the way through that my family have always supported me. Many of them agree with my politics, one or two take a different view. But they’ve always supported me all the way through until this summer, right until this summer.”
“Suddenly, most of my family say, you know, give it up, walk away. And the impact on them is horrific. Even last week, [there was] another horrific round of debanking of people closely related to me.”
