President Donald Trump shared at least 14 posts blasting RINO Rep. María Elvira Salazar on Truth Social on Saturday night after she complained that his immigration enforcement has “gone too far” in a campaign ad.
Posts shared by the president included people saying “She is nothing but a backstabber,” “She wants amnesty for the ppl who criminally crossed our borders defying our laws,” and “So we need a NEW Republican to Replace Salazar.”
Other shares on his social media platform asked who paid her and told him to pull his endorsement.
Salazar, a three-term Cuban woman who represents Florida’s 27th District, released the ad last week, filmed in front of the White House.
“Mr. President, some of your immigration enforcement efforts have gone too far,” she said.
She added, “Be careful what your advisers are telling you about immigration policy. The same Hispanics who helped you get to the White House in 2024 feel betrayed today.”

She claimed that she was “not talking about giving them amnesty” but about “a dignified life in this promised land,” and compared the task to Lincoln on slavery and Reagan on communism.
Trump initially responded to the ad by telling reporters in the Oval Office that he disagreed.
“She got a little bit soft on the border,” he said. “I understand that. I understand that. But I just don’t happen to be there.”

Trump also said she would not have won without his endorsement when she beat Democrat Donna Shalala in 2020.
On Face the Nation days later, Salazar claimed she had a “fantastic” and “very good conversation” with him after the ad, that he was “very courteous” and “very receptive,” and that she told him he could “keep the pot of gold” he brought the GOP among Hispanic voters in 2024 if he distinguished “the narco and the nanny and the gangster and the gardener.”

Neither the White House nor Salazar’s office immediately confirmed whether or not she still has the president’s endorsement.
