WATCH: Tom Homan Confirms “Criminal Investigation” Into Ilhan Omar Ongoing, Says She Could be Denaturalized

Border Czar Tom Homan on Sunday said during a Fox News appearance that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is under investigation for fraud and that she could be denaturalized and deported.

“We have denaturalized citizens based on fraud, based on lying on their applications or lying through the process, misrepresenting themselves, or maybe misrepresenting organizations they belong to or beliefs they have,” Homan said.

This comes after Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said at the RNC convention last week that Omar is under investigation for her and her family’s crimes.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Mullin on Friday confirmed that Ilhan Omar “married her brother to try to bring him into the United States” and there is an “ongoing investigation”

“Something’s going to happen,” Mullin said, adding, “If we can prove that you shouldn’t have been here in the first place, we’ll deport you.”

Asked about Mullin’s comments, Homan declined to comment on Omar’s case, describing it as an “ongoing criminal investigation.”

“I know things are going on, but I can’t give specifics of what’s happening,” he continued, adding that the is continuing to investigate.

Homan did not say whether there was a denaturalization case being brought against Omar. Still, he noted, “If someone lies through that process to becoming a citizen, and we can prove they in fact lied or misrepresent themselves, we can absolutely denaturalize them. We’ve done it before, many times over the last 40 years I’ve been around.”

He further responded to likely criticisms from the Democrats, accusing the Trump administration of political motivation if they do go after Omar, saying, “ICE is enforcing law that Congress wrote!”
