President Donald J. Trump proves once again that NOBODY works harder for the American people!
While radical leftists in Washington cower at the first sign of rain, President Trump showed the entire world what true American leadership looks like.
During a fiery campaign stop, President Trump shared the remarkable, behind-the-scenes story of how his Secret Service detail tried to cancel his highly anticipated rally in Durant, Oklahoma.
“This was NOT an easy trip,” Trump told the crowd at the Choctaw Event Center on Thursday night.
Advisors told him the weather was terrible, the helicopter was out, and the plane could not land. They floated canceling Oklahoma. Trump asked what was left. A long drive. He asked how fast “The Beast” could go. Close to a hundred miles an hour, they said.
“I said, GET YOUR A*SES IN THE CAR!”
The crowd erupted.

It was the second stop of a brutal day on the midterm trail, and Trump was not about to leave Oklahoma Republicans standing in the rain.
Earlier Thursday, Trump was at a Peterbilt truck plant in Denton, Texas. The plan was to fly north to Durant for a rally backing Republican gubernatorial candidate Mike Mazzei and other GOP candidates, with remarks set for 6 p.m. Severe storms blew that up. Planes and helicopters could not land. The White House press pool reported a “bad weather call” and a switch from aircraft to motorcade.
Trump posted on Truth Social from the road that there had been a major weather delay, that planes and helicopters were not able to land, and that they were driving up from Texas.
“They wanted me to postpone the event, and I said, ‘NO WAY, I’M GOING TO OKLAHOMA!’” He added that The Beast was “going faster than it has ever gone before,” and told the crowd waiting in Durant: “It won’t be long! I love you all. See you in a little while.”
Supporters had been inside and outside for hours. Doors opened at 2 p.m. Local crews said people waited through heavy rain and called it a once-in-a-lifetime night.
Trump told them he came to thank Oklahoma for its loyalty, and closed by giving the same order he is giving every red state: get out and vote.
The rally itself was a midterm push for Oklahoma Republican gubernatorial candidate Mike Mazzei and Rep. Kevin Hern. Trump told the crowd that in 33 days, Oklahomans would “defeat the radical left Democrats once again.”
